Under Construction.
I'm currently working on building a 7 1/2' artbench for the garage. And with the help of friends and much trial/error I am learning new skills and will have a great space to create.
Projects will be added here when I shift gears.
all the wood layed out and ready to cut. they say you can knock this together in a few hours. well, started at 9am and the next pic shows the 2 side pieces that I finished around 11:30pm.
I really dislike tree knots, they cause all kinds of grief with the wood screws and your muscles.
I'm hoping to finish today and will post more pics.

Well, 4 days later I finished and 3 months later I'm finally posting the finished bench.
I learned that liquid soap applied to the screw really makes a huge difference screwing into the knots!
I decided to use leftover stain to help protect the wood - it's so dry here.
This compound miter saw is amazing and I really want one! My friend Sue lent it to me and kindly showed me how to use it
I used a white laminate top hoping it will reflect light in the dark garage.
Filled up and in use!
